What is Live Scan Fingerprinting?
Live Scan Fingerprinting is the electronic sending of your fingerprints securely to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and if needed to the FBI for the completion of a criminal record check. It replaces the old style ink cards that were used in the last century. The process of Live Scan allows for the sending and receiveing of your fingerprints to DOJ and FBI in matter of seconds and results are usually received within a few days.
Who needs Live Scan?
Live Scan Fingerprints are required for almost every applicant applying for a license issued by the State of California. Many employees that will work for any agency that is licensed by the State will require you to have your background checked and cleared by Live Scan. Livescan is Required if you live in California. The state does not accept the old style cards.
You may request your own criminal record from DOJ . We carry all the required paperwork.
